Plant update:
Plant number one never had a chance. I’ll use the pot to grow succulents.
Plant number two hasn’t died yet. So that’s good. But when will it flower? I was guaranteed flowers.
Plants number three and four grew! I’m not a plant killer! That’s right. I have a green thumb. Now all i need is number three to turn into a poppy.

“I was working… I am a woman… I could never imagine that a uniformed policeman would shoot me in the face”
“When the French break subways in France, they have a “cause”, if people fight and break subways on Paulista avenue, they are “bums” who “don’t want to work”. Maybe, if we were French, we would be fancier and called activists”
This is the current reality in Brazil. The mass media is manipulating the population by distorting the truth. Everything they show on TV is simply gross. Brazilian protesters are called vandals, thugs, when they are actually peacefully claiming their rights yet being undeservedly and ruthlessly repressed. I’m not ashamed to say that I had also been manipulated; I did think the government was doing the right thing at some point, but thanks to the Internet, mostly Facebook users who have been protesting in the past two weeks (photographers, reporters, students etc) I finally comprehended the sad truth. I understood that Brazil, the so-called democratic country is actually nothing less than a dictatorship. It’s not only about the public transportation taxes (it’s just one of the main reasons!), it’s about all the corruption and hypocrisy going on here, how the politicians neglect the mass population and disregard such an important matter that have actually become a big issue internationally. How is THIS Brazil shamelessly playing host to the next World Cup and Olympic games? I don’t want to see this being a disaster and therefore, I don’t want tourists to go through the same experiences like we do.
I posted this for a good cause, but at the same time, I feel bad that I have to flood your dashboard with things that may not be interesting to you, my dear followers. But I know that, out of my 701 followers, at least 5 of you have read this and this is what truly matters to me! As I’m still scared to go to the streets to protest, the least I can do to show my support is spread this matter to my non-Brazilian friends/followers.
